Gonzalo Blanco
Gonzalo was educated at Universidad de Sevilla in Spain and
moved to the UK to lead the Neuromuscular Genetics section at the
Medical Research Council Mammalian Genetics Unit in Harwell,
Oxfordshire. His research aims to improve the understanding of
disease mechanisms in neuromuscular disorders such as muscular
dystrophy through the study of key mouse genes. He also leads the
Bioimaging team at MRC Harwell, where he manages and promotes the
various imaging resources across the campus to further its
scientific programmes.
