Kim Baxter

Kim completed a BA in fine art at Aberystwyth University before going on to study medical photography at the University of Wales in Cardiff. She joined Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge in 2006, and later became the Ophthalmic Photography Team Leader, specialising in all types of ophthalmic imaging including slit-lamp photography and retinal angiography, as well as undertaking general clinical photography and videography work. Kim is a member of the Institute of Medical Illustrators and during that time has won two gold awards at their annual exhibitions, along with bronze and silver awards. Her work has been selected twice by the Royal Photographic Society’s Visualising Medicine exhibitions, and she has contributed images for articles in the Ophthalmologist and the Lancet.
