Eberhardt Josué Friedrich Kernahan and Enrique Rodríguez Cañas

Josué and Enrique both studied physics, Josué originally in Panama and Enrique in Spain. They obtained their PhDs from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), which is where they first started working together. Josué worked under the supervision of Professor Máximo León Macarrón, and studied semiconductor materials used in photovoltaic and solar cell applications (such as chalcopyrite, Cu(In,Ga)Se2, kesterite, Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4, indium sulphides and tin sulphides). Enrique worked under the supervision of Professor José Luis Sacedón Adelantado at the Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Madrid (ICMM), and studied the surface morphology and growth front of gold thin films.

They currently both work in the Interdepartmental Research Service (SIdI) at UAM, Josué in the Thermal Analysis Laboratory and Total Reflection X-ray Fluorescence Laboratory and Enrique in the Scanning Electron Microscopy Laboratory.
