Fergus Walsh
Fergus is the BBC's medical correspondent. He reports for TV, radio and online and has a blog, Fergus's Medical Files. He covers a huge range of stories, from medical research to ethics and global disease threats. He joined the BBC in 1984 and since then has covered home and legal affairs, education, science and politics. He has reported from many countries for the BBC, on topics such as stem cells, polio, TB, abortion, swine flu, leprosy, space travel and foreign prisons. Fergus says he tries to make his reports engaging, making often complex stories accessible to a wide audience.
