Adam Rutherford

Adam is an editor at the science journal ‘Nature’, where he heads their podcast and video department. He is a strong advocate of science communication, presenting a number of radio and television programmes, including ‘The Cell’ for BBC 4 in 2009, and the forthcoming BBC series ‘Genome’. He completed a degree in evolutionary biology at UCL, where he also gained a PhD investigating the genetic controls of eye development. He moved straight into journalism and has been at ‘Nature’ ever since. Adam describes himself as an author, broadcaster, presenter and professional geek.
