About the Wellcome Image Awards
The 12th Wellcome Image Awards were announced on 20 June 2012, recognising the creators of the most informative, striking and technically excellent images among recent acquisitions to Wellcome Images, as chosen by a panel of judges. For more information on how the winning images are chosen, view a video from the 2011 judging.
As a result of a partnership, this year the Wellcome Image Awards features two images from the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research, at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. To learn more about the Koch Institute Public Galleries and Image Awards, visit their website.
The winning images are on display in Wellcome Collection until 31 December 2012.
